Space Zone India, A Chennai Startup launches mobile hybrid rocket "Mission RHUMI-2024" For Climate Research.

Space Zone India's "Mission RHUMI-2024" is a mobile hybrid rocket launch for climate research. On August 24, 2024, it launched 3 Cube Satellites and 50 PICO Satellites to study global warming. Led by Dr. Anand Megalingam and Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, the mission uses cost-effective hybrid rockets with improved safety and eco-friendliness. Space Zone India, now worth Rs 800 crores, charges Rs 2 lakh for Pico satellite launches. It plans to raise Rs 50 crore for expansion, with a total funding goal of Rs 1400 crore over the next three years.
